ZING
STORY SO FAR
ZING Oral Care is a London-based toothpaste brand founded by Jacques Cockell, whose idea for reinventing a product ‘synonymous with monotony and routine’ came during the 2021 lockdown. The brand’s pitch is that mainstream supermarket toothpaste wasn’t as good for people as they thought: its enamel-whitening formula uses hydroxyapatite, 1450 ppm fluoride and papain, is free from SLS and titanium dioxide, vegan and cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable tubes. It has built a following through press coverage (GQ, SheerLuxe, The Telegraph) and charity collaborations, including a limited-edition tube that raised £10,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Per the brand’s own statements: ZING is ‘Made in Yorkshire’, also worded ‘Made in the UK’ and ‘Made in Britain’ on different pages. The brand does not name its factory or manufacturing partner, nor say whether this covers formulation as well as filling, and publishes no parts-by-percentage breakdown, so this claim is unverified beyond the brand’s own site.
