STORY SO FAR
Founded April 2021 in London by Emmanuel Eribo (CEO), Philippe Homsy, Frank Eribo and Mark Quaradeghini. The name LØCI comes from the Latin for 'centre' / 'place'. The brand launched as a vegan, cruelty-free unisex sneaker label and has since extended into apparel. Its core proposition is making 100% animal-free trainers from recycled ocean plastic (sourced off the Atlantic coast of Africa and the Mediterranean), bio-leather, corn-waste blends, cork insoles and natural rubber soles. The brand raised a £4m seed round in 2022 and has attracted high-profile investors and ambassadors including Leonardo DiCaprio, with celebrity wearers from Robert Downey Jr. to Kristen Bell and Nicki Minaj.

Materials breakdown (per LØCI): uppers from recycled ocean plastic (Atlantic coast of Africa and the Mediterranean) or 50% corn-waste / 50% recycled polyurethane on the Maize collection; cork insoles; natural rubber outsoles. Production uses a vertical-integration model with monthly volumes scaled to demand.
