STORY SO FAR
David Reiss opened his first menswear shop on Bishopsgate in 1971, with a Chelsea flagship following in 1980. Reiss originally ran its own Wakefield factory, historic rather than current. Majority-owned by Next plc since 2022 (~72% following the Warburg Pincus buyout); the Reiss family retains ~22%.
